Before my high school class 2 friends sang "Crawling" screaming in
class, I first heard "One Step Closer" on MTV Asia. Honestly, these 2
songs and of course "Papercut" were not too familiar and dare to say I
liked them. However, when "Points Of Authority" appeared, this band was
really cool, especially the ending part which might be a bit difficult
to play for a band that didn't understand sequencers on stage.
"Somewhere
I Belong" I first heard it at a hotel in Jogjakarta 2 hours before the
performance. It was really random and once again I didn't like it
either.
Got a loan of the second album on cassette and the track
"Session" stole the same attention as the track "Cure For The Itch".
This is cool.
When LPTV was there and several times the members of Linkin Park showed them recording using Pro Tools.
Ahay here is our similarity.

2007
was a fun year. Besides "Minutes of Midnight" was released and I read
the article in Kompas newspaper right a few days after I finished my
thesis exam. It's true that I gave the cassette as a graduation present,
because the producer was Rick Rubin.
Of course without
forgetting the previous collaboration album with Jay-Z, which made me
fall in love until now with 99 Problems which was also produced by Rick.
And finally I had Pro Tools in 2009, was taught by a cool mentor, was able to write a book and got a job from it.
Moving
forward far without missing the collaboration with Steve Aoki and other
cool songs. Suddenly Mike livestreamed on Twitch every day making songs
using "Live" and revealing all his habits, his intelligence through
music production in a Live Streaming session from home every 10 am.
This
is crazy. As far as I know, there has never been a musician who live
streams almost every day just to "maintain the DAW" and continues to
inspire in difficult times for all musicians who are on a break from
live on gigs.
And then last week, right after filling career day (inspiration class) at my child's school, LP returned with they livestream.
Cool.
I was accompanied by LP and they works, from school days until returning to my child's school.

2007 adalah tahun yang asyik. Selain "Minutes of Midnight" rilis dan saya baca artikelnya di koran Kompas tepat beberapa hari setelah saya kelar ujian skripsi. Bener juga saya hadiahkan sendiri kaset itu untuk hadiah kelulusan, njelalah kok producernya yo Rick Rubin.
Tentunya tanpa melupakan album kolaborasi sebelumnya dengan Jay - Z, yang memang membuat saya jatuh cinta sampai sekarang dengan 99 Problems yang juga diproduseri sama Rick juga.
Dan akhirnya saya punya Pro Tools di 2009, diajari mentor yang keren, bisa nulis bukunya dan dapat pekerjaan dari itu.
Maju kedepan jauh tanpa melewatkan kolaborasi dengan Steve Aoki dan lagu - lage keren lainnya. Tiba - tiba Mike livestream di Twitch tiap hari bikin lagu pakai "Live" dan bongkar semua kebiasaanya, kecerdasan berpikirnya lewat produksi musik di sesi Live Streaming dari rumah tiap jam 10 pagi.
Ini gila. Setahuku belum ada musisi yang hampir tiap hari live streaming cuman buat "manasi DAW" dan tetep menginspirasi di masa sulit semua musisi yang libur live on gigs.
Dan tibalah minggu lalu, tepat setelah mengisi career day (kelas inspirasi) di sekolah anakku, LP kembali dengan livestreamnya.
Keren.
Saya di temani LP dan karya - karyanya, dari jaman sekolah hingga kembali ke sekolah anakku.
